Do I need to have vaccination records for my dog?
We require that all shot records be up to date. Shots required are rabies, distemper, parvo and bordatella. Titers are accepted. All shot records need to be faxed to our office before you arrive. Our fax number is 512-288-6948. For the safety of our guests, there is no exception to this rule.
We also request that all dogs be up to date on flea/tick medication. For those not current, we provide topical control for $10/dog.
Do you train dogs for movies and commercials?
Yes. We offer a variety of training programs to help you meet your goals, whether for basic manners or advanced skills. We can even make your dog a movie star! For more information, click here.
Can my dog learn a new trick during his/her stay?
Yes! Call us at the kennel or call out Head Trainer, Catherine Muffat (512) 623-9693 to set up a training session.
I have a puppy. How old does he/she need to be to stay at Bobbi Colorado's?
We do not have age restrictions, as long as your puppy is up-to-date on his/her vaccinations. Your puppy must have his/her Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccine.
Can I bring my dog's food, bed, or toys?
Yes! Bring enough food for your dog's stay in a sealed, labeled container. Or, we can feed him/her Purina or Pedigree. This is just like sending your kid off to camp; make sure everything has his/her name on it, and keep in mind that any favorite belongings should stay at home.
Are there any additional charges for walking my dog, playtime, or medications?
No! The only extra charge you will incur is when you select bath and nail trim services.
How much playtime will my dog have?
We rotate dogs in and out of playgroups according to their needs. On average, your dog will have 4 hours of playtime interspersed with nap time.
My dog doesn't play well with others. Will he get enough exercise?
Yes. Our staff will play with and/or handwalk your dog throughout the day so that he/she is relaxed and happy.
Do you have any breed restrictions?
No. We believe dogs are dogs first, and each dog has his/her unique needs. Dogs that prefer not to play with others are easily accommodated at our kennel.
Is it OK if my dog is not neutered or spayed?
Yes. Spay/neuter is a decision for you and your vet. We can accommodate intact animals. Please let us know if your female is close to expected heat so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
Do you offer grooming services?
Should you prefer a full grooming service, let us know in advance. We will arrange for our mobile groomer to come out for your dog.
Is your facility climate-controlled?
Yes. All suites are air-conditioned in summer, and heated in winter.
What happens after hours?
We check on the dogs every night to make sure everyone is tucked in comfortably. Our 24-hour surveillance allows us to check the kennels anytime, day or night.
